TMF has operated one of the largest production facilities in Europe for the coating of Front Surface Mirrors for telescopes for over 30 years.
We can accommodate telescope mirrors up to 1700mm diameter and weighing in excess of a 1000Kg. We also have the capacity to fit large telescope mirror segments in our coating chambers with a maximum overall dimension of 3000x1800mm.
We deal with smaller telescope mirrors too as we have 7 different coating chambers to assist with any of your requirements. Our services include coating new telescopes mirrors for manufacturers and OEMs, professionals and hobbyists. We also provide a stripping and recoating service (often referred to as re-silvering) for when your mirror has become tarnished or worn.
